grayboxx Re-Emerges
A well known local site, grayboxx, seems to have re-emerged with its local search features and directory intact. The site popularized a means of finding recommended businesses by showing the businesses that were found most often inside Microsoft Outlook address books; using a confidential, and privacy-respecting means of evaluating such address books for keys such as phone entries. Ultimately, the businesses that were stored most often were considered the most “popular”. The site has been up and down over the last few months. It is effectively a yellow-page/local business directory site.
